These are the children of villagers and farmers in the Ganzi district of east Tibet.

Sponsorship enables poor families, who would otherwise be unable to afford it, to send their children to primary school (years 1-6), middle school (years 7-9) and secondary school (years 10-14).

The sponsorship money pays for school fees, books and stationery. The students are highly motivated and very grateful for the opportunity provided.
