Nuns (India)

NJP has recently commenced a sponsorship programme with the Jangchub Choeling Nunnery in Karnataka State, India.

The nuns are mostly born in Tibet, but some are also from Ladakh and Bhutan. These nuns have few resources and rely on the nunnery for their daily needs. They live in shared rooms with no heating or cooling. The nunneries cannot afford to provide medical or dental care. Sponsorship enables a nun to improve her standard of living – more comfortable accommodation, better diet, and provides funds to make offerings and purchase materials for studies.
